EDITORIAL POLICY

Our Editorial Standards

Editorial Independence

Global Supply Chain Insights maintains strict editorial independence. All publication decisions are made solely on the basis of editorial merit, relevance to our readership, and adherence to our quality standards. The publication fee charged to authors covers operational costs — editing, design, hosting, and distribution — and plays no role whatsoever in the acceptance or rejection of any submission. A fee paid is not a guarantee of publication.

Editorial Oversight

All submitted articles are reviewed by the Editor, a PhD researcher in supply chain management and logistics based in the United Kingdom. The Editor evaluates each submission on clarity of argument, accuracy of information, relevance to practitioners in the field, and overall quality of writing. Where appropriate, submissions may be referred to external subject matter experts for specialist review.

Acceptance Criteria

We accept articles that offer substantive, evidence-based insight to professionals working in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, and related disciplines. We prioritise original analysis, practical applicability, and rigorous thinking. We do not publish promotional content, advertorials, or articles that serve primarily to market an organisation's products or services.

Conflict of Interest Policy

Authors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest at the time of submission. This includes financial relationships, organisational affiliations, or any other circumstances that could be perceived as influencing the content or conclusions of the article. The Editor will evaluate disclosed conflicts on a case-by-case basis and reserves the right to decline submissions where conflicts cannot be adequately managed or disclosed.

The Editor separately declares that donor contributions received in support of this publication are managed independently of all editorial decisions. Donors do not receive preferential treatment in the submission or review process.

Plagiarism and Originality

All submissions must be original work. Articles must not have been published elsewhere, in whole or in substantial part, without prior written consent from the Editor. We screen all submissions for plagiarism and duplicate publication. Submissions found to contain plagiarised material will be rejected, and authors may be barred from future submission.

Artificial Intelligence Use Policy

Authors must disclose any use of artificial intelligence tools in the preparation of their article. Undisclosed AI-generated content — particularly content that presents machine-generated analysis as the author's original expertise — will result in rejection. We recognise that AI tools may legitimately assist with drafting, editing, or language improvement, but the intellectual contribution, argument, and professional insight must be the author's own.

Accuracy and Corrections

We are committed to factual accuracy. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of all data, statistics, claims, and references contained in their submission. Where errors are identified after publication, corrections will be noted transparently within the published article and, where significant, accompanied by an editorial note. Readers wishing to flag an error or factual inaccuracy are encouraged to contact us directly via the Contact page.

Retractions

In the event that a published article is found to contain serious inaccuracies, fabricated data, or undisclosed conflicts of interest, the Editor reserves the right to retract the article. Any retraction will be clearly noted in the published record, with an explanation provided.

Licensing and Open Access

All articles published in Global Supply Chain Insights are made freely available to readers worldwide under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) licence. This means readers and researchers may freely share, reproduce, and adapt published content, provided appropriate credit is given to the author and to this publication. Publication under a CC BY licence confirms our commitment to genuine open access — not open access in name only.

Archiving and Permanence

All published articles will remain freely accessible in perpetuity on this platform. We will not place previously free content behind a paywall. Where technical infrastructure changes require migration of content, we are committed to maintaining the integrity and accessibility of the published archive.

Indexing Statement

Global Supply Chain Insights is a curated open-access professional magazine. It is not currently indexed in academic databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, or PubMed. We do not represent ourselves as an academic journal. Authors seeking academic indexing should direct submissions to appropriate peer-reviewed venues. What we offer is a credible, professional platform for practitioner insight with a growing specialist readership.
